My Everest presentations normally take from 60 to 90 minutes. I was asked by a Christian high school attended by my grandchildren to deliver a presentation no longer than 15 minutes. I have never done this before and didn't think it was possible. Here is what I came up with.

No much helmets on to be seen. Baseball cap instead. That tells that risk awareness does not exist. Traffic jam is like in NY in slopes. Thats one of the reasons to high death rate. Horrible. This mountaneering has become a tourist trap.
Those heli pilots are heroes too. In those altitudes of very thin air and heavy wind risks are high.

How would you cross the ice fall.without ladders???

So does the north face from China avoid the traffic jam after the Hilary step you get on the Nepal side? Do you summit same day as those teams? What if someone summits from the south.. then comes down your fixed lines on the north side? I have so many questions.
Yes, the Northeast Ridge avoids the traffic jams you see on the Southeast Ridge. Also, the North Approach in Tibet does not have the crowds you see on the South Approach in Nepal. Both the North Approach and the South Approach lead to the same summit. The teams don't summit on the same day. Climbers cannot complete a traverse of the mountain by going up the South Approach and down the North Approach, and vice versa. China will not allow climbers to enter or exit Tibet other than at recognized border points. i.e, the Friendship Bridge. Great video of your climbs, congratulations! I imagine it is something you will always have fond memories of. I have trekked in the Everest region several times and every time it is the most beautiful and inspiring place to be.

There is one stipulation that absolutely should be applied, but never will, regarding anyone who wishes to attempt this....if you are incapable of doing it without an oxygen bottle you have no business up there!

I would say the crowds make it very unsafe..... I would avoid such stuff.

Looks like a bunch of rich old farts. Kudos I guess. Serious question - why are guys huffing and puffing while breathing supplemental oxygen? Especially when you’re standing still? I could see gasping for air (or lack of) with no oxygen supplemented … and I understand exertion - I just don’t get breathing difficulties when laying in a tent with an oxygen mask on.
